The Edge Series Panmure & series results
The final of The Edge Series took place on Sat at Panmure with a number of challenging routes. The U14 were stopped at the big reach on the green route. The U16 found the crux on the red route to be a major road block with only two climbers getting through. The big stopper however was on the open final route which had a deceiving dyno start. This dyno proved too much for our female opens who were all thrown off the wall and sheepishly took their seats. The three way tie brought the qualifying results back into play. The male open final however was the one to watch. Spectacular climbs from Daniel Newth and Malcolm Oliver provided good entertainment but the star performance went to Stu Kurth who after a 9 year hiatus is back winning lead competitions. Congratulations to all the winners on the day but this was also the final of the series and winning a series doesn’t just mean winning on the day, it means showing up to all events. There were five names that did both well and took home a back pack. They were Patrick Soulier 280, Jasmine Weaver 280, Zoe Sagarin 280, Benjamin Lakeman 265, Alicia Chan 215.
