Changes to the committee

Auckland Sport Climbing club would like to thank the outgoing committee members for their fantastic support and welcome the new committee members.

OUTGOING

Jeff and Lynnette Evans. Jeff founded ASC in 2007 and has seen three children Chelsea, Josh and Tessa compete at the national competitions. Chelsea also competed at the world championships and Josh competed twice at the world championships.  Under Jeff’s leadership ASC hosted many national competitions including the 2010 Oceania competition. The Evan’s are like the head of family and we still enjoy our get-togethers at Castle Rock and last Sunday’s diner.

Kathy and John McCarthy. Kathy has been both treasurer and secretary; both John and Kathy have been passionate and engaged committee members and followed Tighe and Moya around the country.  Kathy has been a relentless fundraiser, grant applicant.  Daughter Moya also attended the 2012 world championships. Kathy returns as a regular committee member.

Tim and Annie Lovegrove. Tim and Annie have been long term members and followed daughter Emma around the country. Tim has been our de-facto secretary recording every meeting. We have also enjoyed Tim’s amazing baking and home produce at every get-together.  Emma shares many talents on the wall and behind the microphone and we will follow her music career with interest.

Briar Walsh, Briar was a great treasurer, official shopper, prize-giving coordinator and host. Thanks for opening your house up again and again for regular meetings. We hope we helped a little with your Made in Mexico sales. Tony, thanks for your patience. Daughter Ella competed regularly at nationals and at the Oceania competition in 2013.

Craig Newth, Craig and Fiona have supporting ASC for a many years and son Daniel competed at the world championships in 2012 has again been selected to go to the world championships in New Caledonia. Craig provided regular entertainment at our away trips and guitar duets with John.

INCOMING

Susie Randall, Susie joins a Treasurer and is mother of Leonie and Oscar.

Karen Kranz, Karen joins as Secretary and is mother Sohpie.
